Arrr Matey!

It's pirate week at our library and I cannot wait for storytime. I found this great tune at http://workofheart.bravehost.com/pirates.htm

I chose a few fun verses of the song to sing and created some construction paper flannel objects to go along. 

This old pirate had a patch

Sailed the seas without a scratch . . .



Not only does this song have great rhymes but the tune is familiar - "This Old Man"  (something I really look for in my storytime choices.
