You see those crazy QR Codes in just about everything these days. After some encouragement from a co-worker I added some codes to our fish tank.

The Children's department of our library houses a delightful salt water tank that draws it's own set of visitors. I used Avery.com to create a set of name badges with a QR Code, a picture of the sea creature, and the bit.ly address.

Each code leads to an article offering more information about the animal. This led me to start to think about other areas in the library. Sometimes we have displays that could be very interesting to patrons but we can't print out pages of information.

What collections or displays do you have in your library that could benefit from a QR Code?

*fun side note: Avery.com includes a neat feature in their 'design & print' section. They allow you to create the QR Code within their website.
